When to photograph newborns?
The best recommended time for photographing newborns is between 7 – 10 days old.
The natural process of newborn development makes it harder to photograph as the baby gets older than 2 weeks. With time they start to stretch more and more, they become more awake and alert for my touch, they no longer like to stay in a fetal position and cramping might occur. As they get older certain fetus poses might not be possible to achieve. That’s why my high recommendation is to schedule your newborn within first two weeks after birth.
The worldwide standard for newborn photography is under two weeks, however I know that sometimes complications and difficulties with mother’s birth recovery happen. Out of respect to all new moms I do schedule babies up to 3 weeks. (For older babies click here).
About newborn photo session
The session typically lasts 3 – 4 hours.
The time flexibility allows us to feed the baby, changed the diapers, settle and comfort the baby for capturing the adorable images you see in my gallery. My photo sessions very relax, peaceful and always led by baby’s need. During the time I am working with your precious baby, you are more than welcome to relax on my sofa and have some well-deserved rest.
In my photo studio, I do provide clothing for both newborn baby boys and girls. A big collection of newborn hats, headbands, wraps, blankets, baskets, bed and various backgrounds available to see in the gallery.
You can come just with your baby and enjoy a relaxing time, while capturing precious memories.
Booking
To book your newborn session I suggest you make reservation based on your due date while you are still pregnant. Ideally during your second trimester. Without pre-booked reservation I can not guarantee to photograph your newborn baby. For those who have reservation, please after your baby arrives, just text me within 48 hours and I send you your booking date.

Location and Ordering
Newborn photo session is held exclusively in my studio in Zagreb. I do not travel to people’s home.
Within one week after photo shooting I schedule an in-person ordering appointment with you to review your images and choose your selections. Your final images will be ready up to 3-4 weeks from the day of selection. Time can vary depending upon products purchased.
